It doesn’t mean they are even apologetic, maybe they haven’t even  expressed a sincere apology, and never will.  An apology and Forgiveness does not mean your relationship should or needs to be reconciled.

  3. I don’t want to forgive because I Don’t want to condone bad behavior.
  1. If I forgive means that I am vulnerable and may get hurt again, I must keep protecting myself.
  2. I cannot forgive myself for past choices or mistakes.
